I don't get it. Sure, those papers once represented gold, and silver right? Except, when you pick up a five dollar bill, does that mean that somewhere there are five chunks of metal waiting especially for you? Does it? When was the last time someone made a connection with money as we know it today, representing gold? So it's supposed to be gold. Except what is gold? Oh, thats right. Shiny rocks we found in the earth! Ooh! I mean, yea, we love shiny rocks, but how cum our obsession and appreciation of shiny rocks lead us to killing ourselves over paper?
Isn't that just sad?

because money is not just paper.
in our capitalist society, money is food, shelter, clothes, superiority, success, wisdom, respect.
people dont care about the actual shiny rocks.
we are deep in the pit of materialism.
i agree w. u lili. y is money food shelter clothes superiority success wisdom and respect? money makes people die! they kill each other over green paper and silver coins. its horrible. money duz allow us 2 have shelter, food, clothes and success, but, what happens if sumthing happens and u lose all ur money!? where are u now?! thats y people are homeless, hungry, and wear rags. they have no respect, or success. they have no way 2 get money. they die. y duz money have 2 do that 2 innocent people?
without money, people have no motivation to do things. yes, I agree, we have a faulted system, but without money to motivate us to do work, farmers would no longer grow the food we eat, workers would no longer help grind out the electricity and oil we use, or the material that we have for clothes, beds, houses, practically everything! without money, the world, i am sorry to say, would not go round.
